The geese are the legarth strain which are the finest meat producing goose available and supplied by a local producer Philip Hunter on his family farm. Philip is a third generation farmer. 

The birds are free range and are fed on home-grown cereals and pulses. They supplement their diet by foraging for grass and bugs.

 Compared to turkeys, geese have a very low meat: bone ratio, and are very fatty, so allow at least 700g of bird weight per person eg 4kg for 6 people and 6 kg for 9-10
